Angelina’s SHOCKING Whisper to Shayla — The Secret That Made Her Leave Anthony! 🤯
[INT. SHAYLA’S LIVING ROOM – EVENING]
Shayla is folding Kai’s clothes on the couch. The room is quiet, tense. Angelina stands near the window, arms crossed, hesitating. She looks at her daughter with concern.
ANGELINA:
You got a minute, baby?
SHAYLA (smiling lightly):
Always for you, Mama. What's up?
ANGELINA:
(Sighs)
I’ve been sittin’ with something on my heart… and I didn’t know if I should say it.
SHAYLA:
If it’s on your heart, you should speak it. You always told me that.
ANGELINA (quietly):
Just don’t hate me after.
Shayla raises an eyebrow, setting the folded shirt down.
SHAYLA:
Okay… now you scaring me.
ANGELINA (walks closer):
I saw Anthony the other day.
SHAYLA:
At the store?
ANGELINA:
No… not just at the store.
Shayla freezes, sensing something is off.
SHAYLA:
Mama… what are you trying to say?
Angelina leans in, lowers her voice. She whispers something softly into Shayla’s ear.
Shayla blinks. Her expression shifts. Shock. Confusion. Hurt.
SHAYLA (pulls back):
No… No, Mama. Don’t do this to me. Tell me you’re lying.

ANGELINA (whispers):
I wish I was, baby.
Shayla stands up, slowly. Her hands tremble.
SHAYLA:
He told me he loved me. That we were working on things. That he wanted this family…
ANGELINA:
People say things when they’re lonely, Shayla. But actions? They never lie.
SHAYLA:
(voice breaking)
Why didn’t he just tell me? Why keep pretending?
ANGELINA:
Because he wanted both… but he can’t have both.
SHAYLA:
And Amber? She knew?
ANGELINA:
(Silent nod)
They all knew… except you.
Shayla turns away, tears forming, trying to hide them.
SHAYLA:
This whole time… I was blaming myself. Thinking maybe I wasn’t enough. But he—he played me. And for what?
ANGELINA (softly):
You’re more than enough, Shayla. That’s what I’ve been trying to make you see.
Shayla takes a deep breath. Her voice is steadier now.
SHAYLA:
I can’t do this anymore. I can’t keep waiting for him to choose me.
ANGELINA:
Then don’t, baby. Choose you this time.
Shayla walks to the door, grabs her purse. Her hands are no longer shaking.
SHAYLA:
I’m done, Mama. This is the last time he plays with my heart.
ANGELINA:
I’ll be right here, every step of the way.
Shayla opens the door, pauses, looks back.
SHAYLA:
Thank you… for telling me. Even if it broke me.
ANGELINA:
Sometimes it takes breaking… to finally be free.
Shayla walks out. The door closes behind her. Angelina stands silently, holding back her own tears.
