Shayla Asks: Do You Think Anthony Will Ever Come Back? ๐ฎ Piarry’s Honest Answer STINGS ๐

INT. PIARRY’S LIVING ROOM – NIGHT
Shayla sits on the couch, legs pulled in tight, holding a mug of untouched tea. Piarry walks in from the kitchen, noticing her deep in thought.
Piarry:
You okay?
Shayla:
(Sighs) I don’t know. I thought I was. But I keep circling back to the same question.
Piarry:
Well, I’m here. Ask me whatever you need.
Shayla:
(Voice shaking) Do you think Anthony will ever come back to me?
Piarry:
(Freezes for a beat) Shayla…
Shayla:
(Speaking quickly) Be honest. Don’t sugarcoat it. I know y’all are close. He trusts you. Just tell me what you really think. Please.
Piarry:
(Lowers herself next to Shayla) Okay. You want the truth?
Shayla:
Yes. No matter how much it hurts.
Piarry:
Then… no. I don’t think he’s coming back. Not in the way you want. Not fully. And I hate saying that.
Shayla:
(Looks away, blinking tears) Damn. That hurts more than I thought it would.
Piarry:
I know. But I also know you deserve better than someone who keeps choosing confusion over commitment.
Shayla:
But we have a child, Pi. A whole baby. Doesn’t that mean something?
Piarry:
It should. But sometimes, people aren’t ready to love the way you need them to. And Anthony… he’s all over the place right now. One day he’s with you, the next he’s with Amber. That’s not fair to you. Or to Kai.
Shayla:
(Whispers) I thought he loved me. I still love him.
Piarry:
You probably always will… in some way. That doesn’t mean you should wait on him. You can’t raise Kai in a storm, Shayla.
Shayla:
(Silent. Nods slowly.) So, what do I do now?
Piarry:
You heal. You cry if you need to. You let yourself feel all of it — the hurt, the anger, the disappointment. And then, when you're ready… you stand back up. Stronger. Wiser.
Shayla:
I feel so alone.
Piarry:
You're not. I’m right here. You’ve got people who love you, who see you. And when Anthony looks back — because he will — he’s gonna realize he lost something real. But by then, it might be too late.
Shayla:
(Sniffles) Can I stay the night?
Piarry:
Of course. No questions asked. We’ll do face masks, watch trashy TV, eat popcorn till we’re sick.
Shayla:
(Chuckles through tears) Thank you, Pi. For always being honest… even when it stings.
Piarry:
That’s what sisters do.
They hug. The silence says more than words. Somewhere in that silence, Shayla starts to let go.
